Logroño, by all for all / Spanish Urban Agenda

Collection of illustrations for the articles “Logroño, de todos para todos” and “Agenda urbana española” of the N2 of the quarterly magazine Fragmentos.

Urban planning organizes our daily scenario and interferes in our lives: if the school is outside the city, our children cannot walk and need a vehicle; if we do not open school playgrounds or create spaces for meeting and play, our young people go out drinking and drinking; if our house is badly oriented, we need air conditioning. Urban planning interferes in the lives of all people and, like public health, it belongs to everyone and for everyone.

Illustrated campaign composed of four posters showing the values and the story behind each garment. IAIOS is a Catalan company that mainly produces sustainable wool sweaters. Each one of them is special, because it is made in small local workshops.

To carry out the assignment, we took as a starting point the idea of the sweaters made by our grandparents and the memories of our childhood to build the campaign slogan “Indelible memories with a dose of nostalgia”, showing everyday images that revolve around mothers and grandmothers along with their needles and balls of yarn.

Series of six illustrations for the cover and inside editorial report of the El País Semanal supplement “The battle against obesity” by Pablo Linde. This disease, which carries a social and medical stigma, affects 16% of the adult population and 160 million children and adolescents, according to the WHO. The double meaning generated by the illustrations is thought-provoking, as they show a message that goes beyond the obvious. The reader is invited to a deep reflection through the conceptual illustration and the evident contrast between the aesthetic and the critical and social background.
